The Great AIDS Drug Cover-up

  What if scientists discovered a drug or nutritional supplement that worked excellently against HIV, and most other viruses - but no one knew about it? That has happened more than once.             If a researcher makes a scientific discovery and does not publish a scientific journal article explaining their findings, did they really discover anything at all? Or, if it was a highly significant breakthrough, and they did not publish a paper about it, did they try to cover it up for some reason? Two quick examples.             The first entails research conducted at the Community Research Initiative on AIDS – CRIA – New York in 1989 and 1990. Dear Whitman Walker Institute, Executive Committee,             As with AIDS in the 1980s, it is more than tragic that hundreds of thousands have died unnecessarily of Covid-19 in the last two years, simply due to a failure of the medical community to recognize established but arcane scientific knowledge. This did not have to happen. I sincerely would like to work with the Whitman Walker Institute to rectify a neglected approach to treating viral disease and pandemics.             I dedicated my life first to civil rights for the LGBTQ community, and then to research and advocating for effective, affordable, accessible AIDS therapies, not just for Americans but especially for people living with HIV in Africa who at the time had none. Selenium and Asacol Against Ebola

    Selenium supplements (sodium–selenite) used alone at 1-2 mg per day repeatedly have been shown to   reduce hemorrhagic fever mortality rates by an average of approximately 60%. In a trial of 1.2 mg of sodium-selenite a day at an Ebola treatment unit (ETU) in Liberia, selenium increases survival rates from 44% to 68% - a 54.4% improvement. If the correct dose of 2.0 mg had been used survival should have increased to 75%. In a small test in Sierra Leone 1.6 mg of selenium a day helped patients feel better after one day and stronger after two days. It saved the first two patients treated including a 60-year-old man who should have died.        In a controlled clinical trial of selenium supplements treating epidemic hemorrhagic fever [EHF], Chinese         doctors used 2mg selenium per day to treat EHF.
